So many hunters out there

I am always amazed by the number of men in pickup trucks who are wearing orange jackets at this time of year.

There are so many pickup trucks parked at closed gates in these vast forests.

I am much more watchful for deer during the daytime now, as the dogs are flushing them out of the woods and they are more likely to be running across the roads.

I never see any big bucks crossing roads, though. They somehow avoid that.

I would like to go for a walk in the woods at this time of year, but it hasn't been safe for a month or more as there was duck hunting season, then bow hunting and now the regular kind of hunting.

I love seeing the deer standing or eating in fields. I hear from some people who are heading out hunging that they may just go and shoot with a camera this year. I guess part of the enjoyment hunters get is just to be in the forest with the animals.
